IQNA – A Turkish scholar described the Hajj season as an opportunity for Muslims to cry out against Zionism and imperialism.

Head of Union of Ahl al-Bayt Scholars of Turkey Ghadir Akaras

Addressing the “Hajj, Quran-centrism, And Sympathy with Gaza” webinar,  Head of Union of Ahl al-Bayt Scholars of Turkey Ghadir Akaras said Muslims from all over the world gather in Mecca for Hajj, which is a great international congress.

He said Muslim scholars and elites attending Hajj should expose and condemn Zionism an imperialism and emphasize the importance of Tawheed (monotheism).

He also stressed the need for raising awareness about the issue of Palestine in Hajj.

Akaras said the issue of Palestine has been one of the Muslim world’s main issues for over 75 years, since the Zionist regime usurped Palestine through a plot hatched by the UK and the US.

He noted that during these seven decades, many rulers in the Muslim world have followed imperialism and Zionism, which has impeded the resolution of the issue of Palestine.

The Turkish scholar said that while the Shah of Iran was supportive of the Zionist regime, the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 turned Iran into the leading country that supports Palestine.

He further hailed the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation launched by Gaza resistance forces against the Zionist regime on October 7, 2023, for raising awareness in the world about the truthfulness of the Palestinian resistance.
